Frequently Asked Questions
-
Conexet is an Australian software company that develops practical automation and data management solutions for schools. Our products are designed to simplify administrative workflows, improve data accessibility, and save staff time.
-
Conexet products are built specifically for schools and education providers. We work closely with school administrators, timetablers, daily organisers, and ICT teams to develop solutions that fit into existing school processes.
-
Conexet products are designed to be straightforward to install, configure, and maintain. We aim to minimise technical complexity and provide clear documentation and support where needed.
-
Conexet products are licensed on a subscription basis. Each organisation receives a unique license key that activates the software and provides access to updates and support throughout the subscription period.
-
Security is a core focus of every Conexet product. We use industry-standard security practices and trusted cloud infrastructure providers to protect licensing, updates, and cloud-hosted services. Schools maintain control over their own exported data and storage locations.
-
Updates are released as required to improve functionality, address issues, maintain compatibility with supported systems, and introduce new features.
-
Active subscribers receive access to product support, software updates, and assistance with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
-
Yes. Selected products may be available with a free trial period, allowing schools to evaluate the software within their own environment before committing to a subscription.
-
You can contact the Conexet team through our website to arrange a demonstration. We are happy to provide a walkthrough of the software and discuss how it may fit within your school's existing workflows.
DO Export
-
You may update DO export by simply running the latest installer. If an existing version is detected, the installer will prompt you to remove it before proceeding. Select Yes, and the installer will automatically uninstall the previous version and continue with the upgrade.
Your licence activation and connection settings are preserved during the update process, so there is no need to re-enter your licence key or timetabling credentials after upgrading.
-
By design, standard updates retain your licence activation and connection settings. If you need to perform a full reset—such as when moving DO Export to a new computer or troubleshooting an issue—you should first uninstall the application.
To completely reset DO Export:
Open Settings → Apps → Installed Apps (or Add or Remove Programs).
Locate Conexet DO Export and select Uninstall.
Reinstall using the latest version of the installer.
Uninstalling the application removes all stored licence and connection information, allowing DO Export to start with a clean configuration. Existing licence keys can be reactivated on the same school's environment as required.
-
Yes. DO Export can save exported files directly to a shared or network drive, making it easy to integrate with existing school file storage and administration systems.
Simply select the desired network location when configuring your export settings. Both manual and scheduled exports can be saved to the same location, provided the computer running DO Export has access to the network drive and sufficient permissions to write files to the selected folder.
If you're unsure which location to use, we recommend consulting your school's IT department for the appropriate shared folder.
-
Firstly, all sensitive data stays with you. Conexet DO Export connects to your Timetabling Solutions environment, processes the Web Daily Organiser data entirely on your own device, and writes the export files to your own storage. Student and staff information never leaves your environment and never reaches Conexet. The only thing our servers receive is what's needed to validate your subscription - your licence key and school details - never timetable, student, or staff data.
Our security posture includes:
Australian hosting & residency — our licensing service runs on Microsoft Azure in the Australia East region; the limited licence/account data we hold is stored there.
Encryption — all communication is protected with industry-standard TLS in transit, and data at rest is encrypted by the Azure platform.
No embedded secrets — our backend authenticates to storage using Azure platform-managed identities (no passwords or connection strings in the software).
Licence integrity — each licence binds to a single school on first activation and can't be used elsewhere, and all validation activity is recorded to an audit trail.
Additionally, all on-device credentials are stored in the operating system's protected storage (Windows DPAPI), and the installer is code-signed so your IT team can verify the publisher and confirm the file is unaltered.
